If you want to spend a few hundred thousand dollars on consulting, we're not the right group for you. Our settings start at five digits and come to a screeching halt before that sixth digit shows up. We occupy a very specific niche and take only limited-term projects; you won't find us in a dark corner office somewhere in five years, We have no learner mouths to feed and do have expertise we draw upon only when needed. We keep our fees and overhead low, and we pass those savings on to you. 

Fees and costs

Our professional fees are proposed as a flat fee or "up to" a certain amount. Those amounts will never be exceeded unless you specifically request an exception, and then only with your written approval beforehand. 

We are a female owned and operated firm. Professional fees are based on competitive rates for our experienced consultants. Out of pocket expenses such as travel, are billed through at cost without mark-up separate from professional fees. We use coach airfare and will adhere to your travel policies. Our Early Pay Discount (EPD) is accessed by virtually all HCI clients. Our email billing methods, accompanied by required tax forms, help you do so. Yes, we take credit card payment.

When a final work product such as a report is part of the project, a percent of total fees is held back until you have received and approved the final report.

Client confidentiality

Like you, we take potential conflicts of interest and confidentiality very seriously. We commonly sign an NDA at the beginning of most engagements. Many of us are formerr clinicians; we understand patient privacy better than most. 

We view any work done for you as proprietary and confidential. We would not have been in business for 30 years without observing this industry standard. All non-publicly available data provided by you are held confidential and never revealed anywhere in any way that could be tied to you.

Please ask if you have specific questions about data security. We were earlier in our adoption of digital data than most; we have always been more cautious than most; and we continue to be so. Our reputation depends on data security.
